Bollywood choreographer Farah Khan and actor Anil Kapoor have apologised to stunt coordinator Geeta Tandon after she alleged that she and her son were kept waiting for nearly nine hours on the set of Kapoor’s show India’s “Top 1%”.

Tandon shared a detailed account of her experience on social media, saying she and her son had been invited to appear on the show without any payment.

According to Tandon, they arrived at the set at 12:30pm (Indian time) as scheduled but were kept waiting in a tent until 9:15pm without any clear explanation.

She said that when she eventually raised concerns about the prolonged wait, the production manager spoke to her in a disrespectful manner, leaving both her and her son upset and disappointed.

In her post, Tandon said she had not sought any special treatment and had only agreed to participate after receiving repeated invitations from the show’s team.

She added that since she had given her and her son’s time without receiving any payment, she had expected at least basic human respect.

Tandon also emphasised that people working behind the camera deserved the same respect as those appearing in front of it, saying no one should be treated differently because of their profession or background.

Farah Khan, Anil Kapoor apologise

Responding to Tandon’s post, choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan apologised, saying she had not known that Tandon was waiting on the set.

Khan added that had she known about her presence, she would have invited her to sit in her vanity van. She also praised Tandon’s hard work and said she had great respect for her craft.

Show host Anil Kapoor also expressed regret over the incident and apologised to Tandon.

He said he was genuinely saddened to hear about her experience, adding that he always wanted everyone appearing on his show to feel respected.

Kapoor said Tandon and her son were his guests and apologised for the way they had been treated.

Tandon has worked in the Indian film and television industry for nearly two decades as a stunt performer and coordinator. She has also served as a body double for several prominent Bollywood actresses, including Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Her notable projects include Chennai Express, Singham, Ra.One, Sultan and the web series The Family Man.

The incident has once again highlighted the importance of equal treatment and respect for performers and crew members working behind the scenes in the entertainment industry.
