Federal cabinet allows AirSial to start international flights

ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and convened at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad, approved the Ministry of Aviation’s recommendation to allow AirSial to commence flight operations for seven countries: China, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, Britain, and Kuwait.

This decision aligns with the National Aviation Policy 2023 and the Air Services Agreement.

Prime Minister Sharif underscored the economic significance of the recent visit by a Saudi investment delegation to Pakistan, emphasizing its positive impact on bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. He commended the efforts of federal ministers, officials, and staff in ensuring the success of the visit.

Additionally, the cabinet endorsed the establishment of a joint trade committee between Pakistan and Colombia, as outlined in a memorandum of understanding.

In response to a proposal from the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, the Federal Cabinet approved the transfer of the Directorate General of Special Education from the Ministry of Human Rights to the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training.

Finally, the cabinet reaffirmed the decisions made during the Cabinet Committee on Chinese Investment Projects meeting held on April 30, 2024.”
