Field Marshal Asim Munir, Kuwait defence minister discuss regional security, defence ties

RAWALPINDI: Kuwait’s Defence Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Saleem Al-Sabah along with a high-level delegation met Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Thursday.
Kuwait’s Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Lt-Gen Khalid Darj Saad Al-Shriaan was also present.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral defence cooperation.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening institutional ties and expanding mutually beneficial defence collaboration between Pakistan and Kuwait, according to the ISPR.
The Kuwaiti delegation appreciated the professionalism and operational excellence of the Pakistan Armed Forces and their contributions towards regional peace and stability, ISPR said.
The engagement reaffirmed the resolve of Pakistan and Kuwait to further consolidate their historic and brotherly relations into a strong and enduring defence partnership.
The two sides also underscored the importance of continued cooperation in contributing to regional security and stability.
