Field Marshal Munir reaffirms commitment to stronger defence ties with Indonesia

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening defence ties and bilateral relations with Indonesia, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The ISPR said, he made the remarks during a meeting with Indonesian Navy Chief Admiral Muhammad Ali, who visited General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral defence cooperation, ISPR said.

They expressed satisfaction over the existing military ties between Pakistan and Indonesia and agreed to further enhance cooperation in defence, professional training and joint exercises.

The Indonesian admiral acknowledged the professional capabilities of the Pakistan Army and appreciated the Pakistan Armed Forces’ contributions towards regional peace and stability.
