The operation was conducted on intelligence reports in the Palantak area of Washuk, according to the sources. The militants’ hideouts were targeted with modern weapons, they added.

The sources said operations would continue until the last militant was eliminated.

PM, interior minister praise security forces

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for the operation, commending their professional capabilities following the killing of five militants in Washuk.

The recovery of modern weapons and ammunition highlighted the seriousness of the challenges facing the country, the prime minister said.

He described the operation as evidence of Pakistan’s unwavering national resolve against terrorism, adding that collective determination was essential to maintaining peace and security.

PM Shehbaz said security forces and law enforcement agencies were continuing to make sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, and that the nation acknowledged their efforts.

He said operations would continue until terrorism was completely eliminated, adding that the nation was proud of its armed forces and their readiness to defend the country.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also praised the security forces for the operation conducted under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3.

He commended their capabilities following the killing of five militants, describing them as a source of pride for thwarting the designs of what the state calls Fitna al-Hindustan.

Naqvi said the operations reflected the security forces’ commitment to protecting national security. He added that the nation stood alongside the forces in the fight against terrorism.

Balochistan chief minister backs continued operations

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti expressed satisfaction with the operation and praised the security forces. He said the effective action reflected the nation’s resolve against terrorism.

Bugti said militants would fail in their attempts to intimidate the public and damage development infrastructure.

He expressed full support for continuing operations until terrorism was eliminated, adding that the people of Balochistan wanted peace, development and prosperity, with no place for unrest in the province.

Pakistani state uses the term Fitna al-Khawarij for the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Fitna al-Hindustan for outlawed Balochistan-based groups.
