ISLAMABAD: Fog situation in Islamabad likely to worsen as intense fog is forecasted in Islamabad and Rawalpindi between Wednesday and Thursday night, according to national weather forecasting center.

According to the provincial weather forecast, the center predicts intense fog in Islamabad and nearby areas on Thursday.

Fog situation update: Fog to persist in Islamabad, Punjab tonight

On Tuesday, thick fog disrupted numerous domestic and international flights at Islamabad Airport. Train services and the motorway remained closed for regular traffic until Tuesday afternoon.

Weather Update Islamabad and Rawalpindi:

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts that Islamabad and Rawalpindi will face continuous dense fog and extremely cold temperatures throughout the week. The prediction suggests the absence of rain in the twin cities.

According to the PMD forecasts, patches of fog ranging from normal to dense are expected to linger in the plain areas until the next episode of rainfall.
