Gold prices fall for second straight day in Pakistan

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan fell for a second consecutive session on Wednesday, following a decline in international bullion markets, traders said.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers’ Association, in the local market, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs5,500 to Rs479,562, while the price of 10 grams fell by Rs4,715 to Rs411,147.
The decline came as international gold prices eased by 55 dollars per ounce to 4,572 dollars in the global bullion market.
Silver prices also declined in both international and domestic markets. In global trade, silver fell by 45 cents to 72.82 dollars per ounce.
In Pakistan, silver per tola dropped by 55 rupees to Rs7,766, while 10 grams fell by Rs38 to Rs6,658, according to market data.
Traders said local prices are closely tracking movements in the international bullion market amid ongoing volatility in global commodities.
