Gold prices go up in Pakistan today

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan per tola increased by Rs1000 on Saturday, settling at Rs218,000.

According to data provided by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the 10-gram gold was traded at Rs186,900 after experiencing an increase of Rs857.

Separately, i the week ending January 4, 2024, the Weekly Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the Combined Group showed a 0.81 percent week-on-week increase. This indicates a significant 42.86 percent year-on-year surge compared to the corresponding period in the previous year.

According to data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the combined index stood at 313.66, reflecting an increase from 311.14 on December 28, 2023.
