E-registration of lands, properties starts in Punjab

LAHORE: Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated an e-registry model center in Lahore on Saturday, introducing an electronic registration system for lands and properties in the province and eliminating the manual process.

Addressing the media at the LDA Office on Kashmir Road, the Punjab chief minister revealed that 221,000 e-registries have already been generated. Additionally, a branch of the Bank of Punjab has been established at the e-registry model center to facilitate the registration process.

Naqvi highlighted that the manual registry system is now obsolete, and the e-registry system is fully operational. He noted that the entire process is computerized, with the only exception being the finalization of the sub-registrar’s signature to complete the transaction.
