Gold, silver prices fall in Pakistan as global bullion weakens

KARACHI: Gold and silver prices declined in both local and international markets on the first day of the business week, traders said on Monday.

In Pakistan, the price of gold per tola dropped Rs4,900 to Rs501,162, while the price of 10 grams declined Rs4,201 to Rs429,665.

In the international bullion market, gold fell $49 per ounce to $4,788, according to market data.

Silver prices also moved lower in Pakistan, with per tola silver falling Rs145 to Rs8,417, and 10 grams declining Rs124 to Rs7,216.

Traders attributed the fall to movements in global bullion rates, which directly influence domestic pricing.
