Governor Balochistan visits NUTECH to review academic and research progress

ISLAMABAD: Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail visited the National University of Technology (NUTECH) on Thursday to review academic development, research initiatives and institutional progress.

During the visit, the governor was briefed on NUTECH’s role as a “University for Industry,” the university said on Tuesday.

The briefing also included presentations which detailed its academic programmes, applied research and national and international collaborations aimed at promoting skills-based education aligned with industrial requirements.

Mandokhail appreciated the university’s efforts to produce skilled graduates in line with national development needs and technological advancement.

He encouraged NUTECH to expand access to students from Balochistan and further strengthen a research-oriented academic environment.

The visit included tours of NUTECH’s advanced laboratories as well as its Skills and Development Department (NSDD), Innovation Centre (NIC) and Entrepreneurship and Incubation Centre (NEIC).

The visit concluded with an emphasis on strengthening cooperation in higher education, innovation and capacity building to support youth empowerment across Pakistan.
