ISLAMABAD: Bollywood actor Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja has once again dismissed the divorce rumours emerged after a reported rift between the couple, asserting that “Govinda is only mine.”
The couple was seen together on Wednesday, dressed in matching attire, attending a ritual with visible happiness and a contented air.
A week before this surprising appearance, Indian media claimed that Sunita is determined to part ways with her husband.
Indian website, Bollywood Shaadis, reported that Sunita — who first filed for divorce in December 2024 — has accused Govinda of “adultery, cruelty, and desertion.”

It claimed that Sunita attended all court proceedings, while Govinda has skipped appearances, instead seeking reconciliation.
Following the divorce rumours, Govinda and Sunita were rarely seen together, though they did make occasional joint appearances at events.
After fresh reports surfaced in February and March, the two vaguely denied the news, with Sunita insisting that no force could separate her from her husband.
After that, she revealed in an earlier interview with Hindi Rush that Govinda was living at his bungalow while she and their children stayed in a separate apartment.
Now, Sunita has once again shut down divorce rumours by not only attending a religious festival with her husband, but also by posing for photographers together.
On Ganesh Chaturthi, they were spotted together in matching outfits — Govinda in a maroon kurta and Sunita in a saree.
Rejecting divorce rumours, she added: “Whoever tries to break our home will only face misfortune.”
Videos of their cheerful presence at the gatherings quickly went viral on social media.
Govinda, who rose to fame in the 1990s with his dance moves and comic roles, remains one of Bollywood’s most recognisable entertainers. He and Sunita married in 1987 and have two children.

In a vlog, Sunita recalled the first time she saw Govinda, saying she had prayed to marry him and her wish came true. “We were blessed with two children as well, though life is never without its share of difficulties.”
