ISLAMABAD: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has alerted residents and tourists alike to brace for heavy snow and rain forecasted in Murree and Galiat and its surrounding areas over the next couple of days.

According to DG PDMA Imran Qureshi, safety measures must be promptly implemented by the local administration to mitigate any potential risks.

 In adherence to his directive, preparations have been finalized to effectively respond to any emergency situations that may arise.

DG PDMA Imran Qureshi has further appealed to tourists to cooperate with the administration during this time. Additionally, he advises tourists to carefully plan their journeys, taking into account the anticipated heavy snow in Murree and severe weather conditions.

Meanwhile heavy rain lashed various parts of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Friday morning. The intermittent rain, which began late Thusday night, has persisted throughout the day, with breaks in between, and is expected to continue until March 2.
