Fans in the United States and Canada can now prepare to watch the Stranger Things season 5 finale on the big screen, as Netflix confirms a limited one-night theatrical release. With demand expected to be exceptionally high, early booking is strongly recommended for anyone hoping to secure a seat for the show’s final chapter.
How to book tickets for the ‘Stranger Things’ finale in the US and Canada
For the first time in the show’s history, the Stranger Things finale will screen in more than 350 cinemas across the United States and Canada at the exact moment it arrives on Netflix on 31 December 2025 at 5 p.m. PT. The episode, titled The Rightside Up, has been developed as a feature-length event designed for the big screen.
In the United States, tickets will be available through Regal Cinemas and participating independent theatres. Fans can also book online via Fandango, Atom Tickets and Ticketmaster. In Canada, audiences will be able to purchase tickets through Cineplex, alongside select independent cinemas.
Ticket listings will appear as theatres update their schedules, and several locations are expected to sell out quickly due to the one-night release and New Year’s Eve timing. Netflix has not confirmed any additional dates, although some cinemas may add extra showings if there is significant demand.
Why Netflix is sending the finale to cinemas
The theatrical release marks a rare shift for Netflix, which generally keeps its major titles exclusive to streaming. Industry analysts say the streamer wants the final episode to feel like a shared, cinematic moment, giving fans the chance to experience the ending together rather than at home.
