ISLAMABAD: A huge crowd turned up at Islamabad’s D-Chowk ahead of the highly anticipated Spain vs Argentina FIFA World Cup 2026 final, as the government arranged a fully prepared public screening setup for football fans in the capital.
Football enthusiasts from across the Islamabad region gathered at the venue, with supporters divided into rival camps. Some fans arrived to cheer for Argentina and Lionel Messi, while others eagerly awaited the performance of Spain’s young sensation Lamine Yamal.
Dressed in sky-blue and white jerseys, supporters filled the air with chants of “Messi”, sharing their excitement and hopes of seeing the Argentine captain lift football’s biggest prize once again. The gathering reflected the remarkable bond between the global football icon and his fans in Pakistan, who came together to celebrate the sport and witness what they hoped would be another memorable chapter in Messi’s extraordinary career.
