‘I like to touch people’ singer Audrey Hobert releases her ‘Sex and the city’ video

Rising pop superstar Audrey Hobert has just unveiled the official music video for her latest single, “Sex and the City, and it’s already making waves. Self-directed by Audrey herself, the visual also features actor Will Price, perfectly capturing the emotional story behind the song.

This latest release adds to Audrey’s growing repertoire of self-directed videos, following hits like “Sue Me”, “Bowling Alley”, and “Thirst Trap”. Fans also got a taste of her TV chops with a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Her debut album, Who’s the Clown?, dropped in August via RCA Records to rave reviews, with Rolling Stone giving it four stars and hailing Audrey as “one of pop’s great new voices.” Other outlets including NPR, W Magazine, and Cosmopolitan echoed the praise.

Audrey kicked off her highly anticipated Staircase to Stardom tour this week at The Independent in San Francisco, with stops across the US, UK, Europe, and Australia running through May 2026. Fans in Chicago, Brooklyn, and attendees of iHeart Radio’s Jingle Ball can catch her live, and due to skyrocketing demand, several previously sold-out shows have moved to larger venues.

A lifelong performer with roots in musical theatre and dance, Audrey got her first real taste of songwriting alongside childhood friend and former roommate Gracie Abrams, co-writing standout tracks including “I Love You, I’m Sorry” and “Risk”. She also directed the videos for those songs, including Gracie’s current global hit “That’s So True.”

After signing a publishing deal and temporarily putting TV writing on hold, Audrey discovered that music was her true calling. Together with production partner Ricky Gourmet, she brought her vision to life on Who’s the Clown?, a record entirely composed for herself. Known as a true one-woman show, Audrey writes, sings, directs, and edits all her music videos, fully realising her creative vision from start to finish.
