ICC announces schedule for Champions Trophy 2025

ISLAMABAD: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday announced the schedule for Champions Trophy 2025.
The development comes following the agreement between the International Cricket Council (ICC), Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), and the PCB to have a hybrid model for all major ICC tournaments, extending from next year to 2027.
The mega event will start from January 19 in Karachi in which 15 matches will be played between eight countries.
The high voltage clash between Pakistan and India will be held in Dubai on February 23.
Pakistan, India, New Zealand and Bangladesh, Group B includes Australia, England, Afghanistan and South Africa are in Group A.
The first semi-final of the tournament will be played on March 4 in Dubai, while the second semi-final will be played on March 5 in Lahore.
The Champions Trophy final will be played on March 9, but if India qualifies for the final, the match will be held in Dubai.
March 10 has been scheduled as the reserve day for the final.
The events that will be held during this span include the 2025 Champions Trophy, the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup, and the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup. In regards to the 2026 T20 World Cup, India will co-host the tournament with Sri Lanka, and thus Pakistan matches will take place in the latter. The 2028 Women’s T20 World Cup, which was awarded to Pakistan, may also see India’s matches held at a neutral venue.
