The controversy erupted after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officially lodged a complaint with the ICC, urging disciplinary action against Yadav over his post-match comments linking their victory to the Pahalgam attack that happened in April this year.

Yadav had attributed the India’s victory over Pakistan to the bereaved families of Pahalgam attack and the “brave Indian armed forces.” He Had also said that “We hope they continue to inspire us, and we give them more reasons to smile whenever we step onto the field.”
