ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Diagnostic Centre (IDC), a popular facility visited by residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi for various medical tests, is reportedly facing delays from Friday in issuing/delivering crucial patient reports.
Many patients have expressed frustration over the lack of communication regarding when their reports will be available online.
When contacted, an IDC helpline representative acknowledged the issue, citing a technical problem.
However, the representative was unable to provide a clear timeframe for when the issue would be resolved. Upon further inquiry regarding the possibility of collecting reports in person, the representative stated that she was unsure and could not provide any guarantees.
One affected individual shared their experience, revealing that a medical report typically available within 24 hours had been delayed for over 26 hours. Despite multiple calls to the helpline, the patient received no clarity on when the reports would be made available.
The delays have added to the anxiety of many patients, some of whom urgently need their test results. One individual expressed concerns about potential complications, fearing that further delays could worsen the situation if the patient’s condition is serious.
When Hum News reached out to IDC to verify the claims, the representative confirmed the ongoing technical issue and assured that it would be resolved within an hour. However, as of now, it remains to be seen whether the problem has been addressed.
This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
