IMF approves $1.3bln for Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has approved $1.3 billion for Pakistan, according to latest reports issued on Monday.

According to initial reports, Pakistan has achieved a significant milestone under the EFF (Extended Fund Facility) and RSF programs, as the IMF has approved a $1.3 billion installment for the country.

The EFF installment for Pakistan is the third under the current loan program. Earlier, Pakistan had secured the 37-month loan program in September 2024.

The first installment of $1 billion under the EFF program was received in September 2024, while the second $1 billion installment was received in May 2025.
