Indian plane makes emergency landing at Karachi airport

ISLAMABAD: An Indian passenger plane made an emergency landing at Karachi airport after the health of one of its passengers deteriorated.

According to Civil Aviation Authority, the IndiGo Airline pilot made a request for an emergency landing at 4:15 am Thursday local time after the health of one of its female passenger’s health deteriorated

Karachi Air Traffic Control granted permission for the emergency landing on humanitarian grounds.

Plans to split CAA into two separate organisations by mid-Oct

The flight was on-bound to Hyderabad Deccan in India from Jeddah.

A medical exam of the female passenger Hajira Bibi was conducted but unfortunately she had already expired, according to CAA.

The plane carrying the woman passenger’s body departed for its destination at 6:15 am.
