Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrives in Pakistan for two-day visit

ISLAMABAD: Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Pakistan on Monday on a two-day official visit.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended a warm welcome while receving him at the airport today.

A ceremony was also held that included the playing of Indonesia’s national anthem.

President Prabowo will hold high level important talks with both the premier Shehbaz and the president Zardari as well as the Field Marshal during his visit.

According to the Foreign Office, discussions are expected to focus on trade, investment, and defense cooperation, as well as enhancing collaboration in health, education, environment, and culture.

Several bilateral memorandums of understanding (MoUs) are likely to be signed during the visit.
