ISLAMABAD: Islamabad has issued revised operating timings for various businesses across the city amid ongoing austerity measures, the administration said.
According to the notification, shops, markets, and shopping malls will close at 8:00 PM throughout the week.
Restaurants, hotels, grocery stores, and food outlets will be allowed to remain open until 10:00 PM, with takeaway and delivery services permitted.
Marriage halls and commercial event venues have also been directed to close by 10:00 PM.
Sports facilities and gyms will follow an 8:00 PM closing time.
However, pharmacies, hospitals, petrol pumps, CNG stations, and dairy shops have been exempted from the revised timings and will continue to operate as usual.
The new schedule will come into effect from April 16, 2026, and will remain in place until further orders.
The administration has urged citizens and the business community to cooperate for smooth implementation of the revised timings.
