DUBAI: Pakistan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a friendly country for the sale of the JF-17 Thunder fighter jet at the Dubai Airshow.
During Dubai Airshow 2025, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu held a series of high-level meetings with heads of air forces from friendly nations.
The PAF chief had detailed discussions with Lieutenant General Pilot Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi, UAE Undersecretary for Defence, and Major General Rashid Mohammed Al Shamsi, Commander of UAE Air Force and Air Defence.
Topics included enhancing cooperation in advanced training, collaboration in emerging aerospace technologies, and systems for operational coordination.
The Emirati military leadership appreciated the PAF’s innovation, growing local capabilities, and domestic development, while expressing commitment to strengthen joint exercises, professional exchanges, and future inter-military partnerships.
A Pakistan Air Force delegation is participating in Dubai Airshow 2025, highlighting the PAF’s professional excellence, strong international ties, and commitment to regional peace and stability.
The JF-17 Thunder Block III attracted special attention during the airshow, drawing keen interest from defense analysts, aviation experts, and enthusiasts. Its advanced technology, robust combat capabilities, and proven operational performance have further established the JF-17 Thunder as a reliable and cost-effective multirole fighter jet.
Growing international confidence in Pakistan’s aviation industry has prompted several countries to express interest in the JF-17 Thunder.
On the occasion, the MoU for its purchase with a friendly country was also signed, marking a significant milestone in Pakistan’s expanding defense and industrial cooperation.
The agreement underscores the aircraft’s global appeal and the sustained international trust in Pakistan’s aerospace capabilities.
