The famous wrestler’s decision to retire marks the conclusion of a decades-long career. He signed with WWE in 2001. Over more than two decades, Cena has gone on to earn a record 16 world championships.
Along with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, he is hailed as one of the greatest and most famous professional wrestlers of all time.
At the Money in the Bank event, the wrestler expressed deep gratitude for his tenure in WWE. HE acknowledged both, the highs of “incredible prosperity” and the challenges of “tremendous hardship” throughout his career.
“This farewell isn’t just for tonight. It’s a doorway to new opportunities,” Cena declared to his enthusiastic fans. He threw down the gauntlet to his fellow WWE superstars, inviting them to compete against him in his last matches.
Following in the footsteps of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Cena has ventured into acting, making notable guest appearances in Hollywood movies. His most famous roles include appearances in Amy Schumer’s 2015 comedy “Trainwreck” and “The Suicide Squad”.
