K-pop singer seeks donations to complete mosque construction in South Korea

WEB DESK: Famous South Korean pop band singer, Daud Kim has announced to construction of a mosque in South Korea. The singer who converted to Islam in 2019, took to Instagram to seek donations to complete the construction of the mosque.

“Finally, with your help, I have signed a contract for land to build Masjid in Incheon. This place will soon become a mosque. I can‘t believe this day has come…I plan to build a prayer place and an Islamic podcast studio for Da’wah to Koreans,” wrote Daud in his post.


I believe that It‘s truly a huge step There will be many hardships but I believe I can do it. Until the day when every street in Korea is filled with beautiful Azan. I will do my best. In 2018, formerly known as Jay Kim, Daud Kim made a surprise announcement on his social media platform, revealing his decision to convert to Islam. Following his conversion, he changed his name from Jay to Daud. Subsequently, in 2019, Daud Kim performed Umrah.
