With the cricket fever set to grip the city, commuters are advised to expect disruptions during peak hours during the tournament, particularly in the afternoon and evening rush periods.

The influx of spectators, coupled with regular traffic, is anticipated to lead to heightened congestion on key routes, with Shahrah-e-Faisal expected to bear the brunt of the traffic surge.

In light of these expected challenges, the Karachi Traffic authorities are urging commuters to plan their journeys meticulously. Considering alternate routes where feasible and allocating extra time for travel during peak hours are recommended strategies to mitigate inconvenience.

The authorities have emphasised the importance of proactive planning, and advising the commuters to stay updated on traffic advisories and explore alternative routes to ensure smoother travel during the tournament.

The authorities have assured the public that measures are being implemented to streamline traffic flow and minimise disruptions as much as possible. However, they emphasised that cooperation from commuters in adhering to traffic regulations and exercising patience on the roads will be essential to effectively manage the anticipated congestion.

With careful planning and cooperation from all stakeholders, Karachi aims to ensure that the excitement of the PSL matches is not dampened by traffic woes, allowing residents and visitors alike to enjoy the cricketing extravaganza to the fullest.
