Karachi’s top schools triumph at Nido HUM Spelling Whizz finals

KARACHI: The final round of the Nido HUM Spelling Whizz Karachi edition concluded with great excitement, showcasing the spelling mastery, quick wit, and confidence of young participants from across the city.

In the Karachi finals, the following schools emerged as winners in their respective age categories:

Round 01 (Age 6–8): International School of Karachi – Clifton

Round 02 (Age 9–11): BVS Parsi High School – Main Campus

Round 03 (Age 12–14): DHACSS – Phase 7

These winners will now proceed to Lahore for the national finals. Following the Karachi leg, the pool rounds will now begin in Islamabad.

The Karachi Arts Council once again lit up with the brilliance of knowledge and enthusiasm, as students impressed the audience with their pronunciation, presence of mind, and spelling accuracy.

The final day’s event was well-managed and received wide appreciation.

Nestlé Nido and HUM News have partnered to organise this nationwide educational competition, supported by OGDCL and Innovated Choco Rings. Wonderland is the entertainment partner, Avari Express the hospitality partner, Hams Tech the technical partner, and Burger O’Clock the meal partner.

According to organisers, the Karachi finals concluded successfully, with the winning teams qualifying for the regional round on October 24, where the city’s top spellers competed for a place in the national grand finale.

The Islamabad rounds of the Nido HUM Spelling Whizz will be held on October 28, followed by the regional round on October 29 at the NICL Building. In Lahore, the pool rounds will take place on October 31, with the regional round on November 1 at Alhamra Hall. The grand finale will be held in Lahore on November 3, featuring top teams from across Pakistan.
