Kashmiris to observe Youm-e-Istehsal tomorrow

Youm-e-Istehsal

SRINAGAR: Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control, in Pakistan and all over the world will observe Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir, tomorrow, the 5th of August, to register their protest against the Hindutva Indian BJP government’s illegal action taken on that day in 2019.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian government led by the Bharatiya Janata Party, in gross violation of the United Nations resolutions and international law, scrapped Article 370 of the Indian Constitution that granted special status to India illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and imposed an unprecedented military siege in the territory on 5th August 2019.

Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference jailed leadership, Massarat Alam Butt and Shabbir Ahmed Shah has appealed to the Kashmiri people to observe Black Day on 5th August (tomorrow) to convey a strong message to the world that the Kashmiris do not accept India’s brutal anti-Kashmir acts and violation of international law over the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Illegally detained APHC leaders in their separate messages from jails, said August 5, 2019 is one of the blackest days in IIOJK.

They said the five years of constant military and police siege and continued atrocities and violation of human rights have wreaked havoc in the entire territory, which has been turned into a torture chamber by the communal Hindutva New Delhi-controlled BJP regime.

APHC-AJK leader Altaf Hussain Wani in a statement in Islamabad, urging Kashmiri masses to observe 5th August as exploitation day, said that the day marks the onset of India’s settler colonial project that seeks to control, by all means, Kashmir, its population and resources. He condemned the BJP government for its aggressive designs in the region and said that the 5th August move was an atrocious assault on Kashmiris’ national identity.

Hurriyat leader Imtiaz Wani in a statement in Islamabad said Kashmiris will continue their freedom struggle until they get their inalienable right to self-determination.

He said India cannot stop Kashmiris from getting their birthright through brutal use of force. He said the unilateral actions of the Modi government on August 5 are an attack on the unique identity, culture, population and fundamental rights of Jammu and Kashmir. He urged Kashmiris living all over the world to protest against all Indian aggression and draw the world’s attention to the plight of the oppressed people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Other APHC-AJK leaders also appealed to the freedom and peace-loving Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and all across the globe to observe August 5 as Youm-e-Istehsaal-e-Kashmir. INP
