Khattak bowls out PTI in K-P

ISLAMABAD: In a major blow to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf,  former prime minister Imran Khan’s aide Pervez Khattak Monday formed a new party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Parliamentarians, days after being thrown out of PTI.

Former federal minister Parvez Khattak has announced the new political party and has obtained  formal declaration of the party in the name of PTI Parliamentarians.

Former Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan also joined the new political party along with PTI’s 57 former MLAs, who declared their support for Pervaiz Khattak.

PTI’s former provincial minister Ishtiaq Armar and Shaukat Ali are also part of the new party.

The MLAs parted ways with the PTI due to the violent incidents of May 9.

“Our existence is directly linked to that of Pakistan. PTI is now completely finished in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” the former provincial chief minister, who holds an important position in the province’s politics, said.
