The same source suggested that if the Duke wants to reconnect, such matters should be handled privately rather than through public channels.

The remarks highlight the ongoing strain between father and son, years after Harry and Meghan stepped back from their roles as senior working royals.

Why Sandringham is central to the situation

At the centre of the discussion is Sandringham, the royal family’s private estate in Norfolk.
