Kirsten Storms, ‘General Hospital’ star, hit with restraining order by ex-husband

Kirsten Storms has been served with a temporary restraining order after her ex-husband Brandon Barash raised concerns about her behaviour and alleged she is experiencing a “mental health crisis”, according to court documents cited in reports.

Barash, who shares a 12-year-old daughter with the actress, was granted the emergency order after telling a judge he feared for their child’s wellbeing.

Concerns raised over stability

In court filings, Barash alleged Storms has struggled with housing stability since their divorce, claiming she moved between hotels and friends’ homes and frequently changed locations due to fears of being followed.

He also cited financial concerns, alleging she owed him money and faced the possibility of her car being repossessed.

Barash argued that these issues left him concerned about her ability to care for their daughter.

Claims of hallucinations and hospitalisation

According to the filings, Storms allegedly told Barash in May 2025 that she was experiencing delusions and hallucinations and did not feel capable of caring for their child at the time.

He said she was later admitted to hospital and placed on a psychiatric hold, with assistance from his current wife. After her release, he claimed she acted as though nothing had happened.

Barash also alleged that Storms believed people were entering her home and interfering with her belongings.

He cited concerns from a friend who alleged she may have been misusing medication and experiencing repeated episodes involving distress and hearing voices.

Court limits contact

Under the order, Storms is currently allowed only supervised visitation with their daughter. A judge is expected to review the status of the restraining order later this week.

Barash has also requested that Storms undergo a mental health evaluation, though it remains unclear whether that has been approved.

Storms has not publicly responded to the allegations.
