Kylie Jenner is making her acting debut in The Moment, a new mockumentary-style film created by Charli XCX.
The reality television star and businesswoman appears in the newly released trailer for the film, which dropped on Thursday. In a brief scene, Jenner is seen offering advice to Charli XCX’s fictionalised on-screen persona, telling the pop star that the moment people begin to tire of her is when she needs to push even harder.
The Moment follows a fictional version of Charli XCX as she navigates fame, creative pressure and the demands of the music industry while preparing for an arena tour. The project was conceived after Charli faced pressure from her label to produce a traditional documentary around her Brat album and tour, an idea she later reshaped into a fictional narrative.
Speaking previously about the film, Charli described it as a work of fiction that nonetheless captures the reality of the music industry more accurately than any documentary she had seen.
Kylie Jenner’s first acting role
Jenner has said her role in the film is small, though she admitted it pushed her outside her comfort zone. During a recent podcast appearance, she revealed she was nervous in the lead-up to filming, explaining that years of public scrutiny had made her more cautious about taking creative risks.
Despite her fears, Jenner said she felt proud of herself for committing to the project. She added that acting was something she had always been curious about, even if stepping into that space felt daunting.
The cast of The Moment also includes Alexander Skarsgård, Kate Berlant and Rachel Sennott. The film is scheduled for release on January 30, 2026.
In recent months, Jenner has been expanding into new creative areas beyond reality television and beauty. In October, she released her first original song, “Fourth Strike”, under her “King Kylie” alter ego, describing the move into music as something she wanted to try before turning 30.
The Moment marks Jenner’s first on-screen acting role and adds another unexpected chapter to her evolving public career.
