Law and order situation erodes in Peshawar; PTI supporters enter Assembly

PESHAWAR: Tensions escalated in Peshawar as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers staged a protest at Assembly Chowk.

The protestors are voicing their anger over the disappearance of the Chief Minister. They marched from Khyber Road to the Assembly Gate, where they attempted to forcefully enter the assembly premises.

District court grants physical remand of Imran Khan’s sisters

In a parallel development, authorities arrested 15 PTI workers at D Chowk. Senior police officer DIG Mustafa Tanveer reached China Chowk to manage the situation as the workers continued their march.

The protest was eventually dispersed after the police resorted to shelling to control the crowd.
