Lux Style Awards return: here are the winners

LSA 2025

WEB DESK: Last night as the celsius took a dip to an acceptable low as per Karachites, the Mohatta Palace came to life with the 24th edition of much awaited Lux Style Awards (LSA) 2025. Apart from the fashion statements made in the event, actors Hania Amir and Fahad Mustafa led with Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum (KMKT) while Yumna Zaidi made history with the number of LSAs to her name.

This year’s Lux Style Awards unfolded on a noticeably scaled-down note, departing from the grand productions seen in earlier editions. Instead of a large, glamorous show, organisers opted for a more intimate gathering, inviting a curated list of celebrities, nominees, media professionals and a few influencers.

A total of 28 categories were presented, covering television, film, music, fashion and an expanding slate of digital-first talent. As usual, the honours were divided between Critics’ Choice and Viewers’ Choice awards, reflecting both industry opinion and public sentiment.

The return of the ceremony carries added importance, given that the event has faced repeated interruptions. The awards were cancelled in 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, with organisers diverting the allocated budget to the Akhuwat Foundation to support fashion workers affected by lockdowns. In 2025, the 23rd edition was announced entirely online.

This year’s ceremony also marked a milestone with the introduction of categories dedicated to digital creators, recognising the rise of online content and the growing influence of Pakistan’s creator economy.

Launched in 2002, the Lux Style Awards continue to be regarded as one of Pakistan’s most prominent platforms honouring achievements in entertainment and fashion.

The attendees also got an array of tunes to enjoy that ranged from Sufi singer Abida Parveen to Hasan Raheem and Shotbox.
