Pakistan Railways has announced a series of nationwide events to observe May 10 as the “Marka-e-Haq,” with ceremonies planned across all seven divisional headquarters of the department.

According to a spokesperson, the main event will be held in Rawalpindi, where Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi will deliver a special address highlighting the significance of the day.

As part of the commemorations, the minister will also flag off the Green Line train decorated with special “Marka-e-Haq” branding, symbolising the nationwide observance of the occasion. In addition, Pakistan Railways plans to display themed branding at around 40 major railway stations across the country.

Ceremonies will also take place in cities including Lahore and Peshawar, with senior railway officials, including the Chairman and CEO of Pakistan Railways, overseeing arrangements at key locations.

Officials said this year’s observance will be held with “full enthusiasm,” featuring events designed to pay tribute to national leadership and the armed forces. Statements from the railway ministry praised the leadership of the Prime Minister and senior military figures, crediting them with enhancing Pakistan’s international standing.

The ministry noted that the sacrifices and service of the country’s armed forces would be formally recognised during the events.
