Maryam Nawaz bans political hirings in Punjab

LAHORE: After assuming office as the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz made a significant decision on the very first day by imposing a ban on political hirings across the province.

Under the chair of Maryam Nawaz, a meeting was held at the Civil Secretariat to discuss details of the province’s five-year development programmes, mega projects in Punjab, and projects funded and run under foreign loans.

Maryam Nawaz, while issuing the order to halt political appointments, emphasized on accountability, transparency, and standard work practices.

The Punjab chief minister expressed strong displeasure over traffic disruptions and directed to streamline traffic management.
