Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif was seen in a stunning appearance at the valima of her son, Junaid Safdar, who married on Saturday to Shanzeh Ali, on Sunday.

Junaid Safdar and Shanzeh Ali Nikah ceremony

The long-awaited union of Junaid Safdar with Shanzeh Ali finally took place on Saturday with a grand nikah ceremony.

The bridegroom wore an ivory sherwani paired with a gold-toned turban, smiling throughout the ceremony, while the bride looked stunning in a traditional pink outfit complemented by elegant jewellery.

Various high-profile guests, including political leaders, family members and several foreign dignitaries, participated in the event on Saturday.

Mehendi event

On Friday evening, the couple had their mehendi event, which was attended by Maryam’s close family members and guests.

The bridegroom wore a deep navy-blue traditional kurta with golden buttons, paired with a golden-brown shawl draped over his shoulder.

Last month, Sheikh Roheel Asghar publicly confirmed that they were entering marriage, noting close ties between the two families. The bride had a long-standing friendship with Junaid Safdar’s sister, Mahnoor Safdar, and described the match as a blessing.
