MDCAT 2023 exam results annulled in Sindh, retest ordered

MDCAT 2023

KARACHI: In a surprising development, Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqir, the Caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh, has directed the cancellation of the MDCAT 2023 entry test results and ordered a complete re-conduct of the examination.

This decision comes in response to mounting concerns and controversies surrounding the initial test results.

A spokesperson for the Sindh government has confirmed that the Caretaker Chief Minister issued an official directive to annul the test results. Furthermore, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has been tasked with launching an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the MD CAT 2023 results.

The inquiry’s objective is to uncover any irregularities or discrepancies that may have affected the initial examination process.

Per the Chief Minister’s instructions, the MD CAT entry test is set to be conducted again, effectively nullifying the outcomes of the previous examination. What distinguishes this re-conduct is that the Chief Minister has personally entrusted Dow University with organizing the test, with a focus on ensuring transparency and fairness throughout the process.

The decision to re-administer the MDCAT 2023 exam has elicited a range of reactions from students, parents, and educational stakeholders across Sindh.

While some consider it a necessary step to rebuild confidence in the examination system, others are concerned about potential delays in the medical admissions process.

The involvement of the FIA in investigating the initial results underscores the government’s commitment to preserving the integrity of the educational system and ensuring equal opportunities for all aspiring medical students in Sindh.
