Mian Channu hospital renamed to ‘Olympian Arshad Nadeem THQ Hospital’

LAHORE: The Government of Punjab has renamed Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital, Mian Channu, to ‘Olympian Arshad Nadeem THQ Hospital, Mian Channu’ to honour him for winning a gold medal in javelin throw at the Paris Olympics 2024.
‘Consequent upon the approval of the Competent Authority, THQ Hospital Mian Channu (100 bedded) is hereby renamed as ‘Olympican Arshad Nadeem THQ Hospital, Mian Channy, District Khanewal,” read the notification issued by Primary and Secondary Health Department Punjab.

THQ Hospital Mian Channu, located at 34 Kanal Area, was originally constructed in 1986 with a capacity of 40 beds, which has since been upgraded to 60 beds. The hospital offers 24-hour services, seven days a week, to address the urgent needs of patients. It serves a population of approximately 760,000, including an urban population of 122,116 and a rural population of 639,855 across 29 union councils.
