The incident took place on March 21, following the assembly session earlier that day, when Uzma Kardar was swimming at a club in Model Town. Upon finishing her swim, she discovered that some of her belongings, which she had placed in her purse before entering the pool, were missing.

However, video statements from the pool staff surfaced later, indicating that Kardar had left the club after her pool session on Thursday evening. However, she returned approximately 30-45 minutes later, alleging that items were missing from her bag.
