Mohammad Amir gets Ireland’s visa

Mohammad Amir

WEB DESK: Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir was granted a visa for Ireland on Thursday and is set to depart for Dublin on the next available flight, as per reports.

This development follows a delay in Amir’s visa, preventing him from travelling with the Pakistan team to Ireland on Tuesday.

According to sources, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi promptly intervened to ensure Amir’s clearance for travel to Ireland.

Amir, along with Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt, was banned from international cricket for five years by the International Cricket Council (ICC) due to his involvement in a spot-fixing case in 2010. He also served half of a six-month custodial sentence in young offenders’ institutes in Feltham and Dorset.
