Naqvi inaugurates new passport office in Nazimabad Karachi

ISLAMABAD (APP): As part of the ongoing efforts to streamline the passport issuing process and to end the backlog, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated a new passport office at the NADRA Mega Center in Nazimabad, Karachi.
The newly inaugurated office will operate 24/7, with three shifts, allowing citizens to apply for passports at any time.
During the inauguration, interior minister inspected the passport counters and met with the staff members.
Lahore gets three new passport offices
The minister interacted with citizens who had visited the NADRA Mega Center for passport and ID card services and inquired about their experiences.
The citizens expressed satisfaction with the facilities provided and thanked the minister for the new initiative.
On this occasion, Mohsin Naqvi also addressed the issues faced by women who had visited the center for biometric verification under the Benazir Income Support Program.
He directed the relevant authorities to resolve their issues immediately and the women praised him for addressing their issues.
The federal minister also asserted that it was the government’s responsibility to resolve the issues being faced by the masses.
A detailed briefing was also given to Naqvi regarding the working of the passport office at the NADRA center.
DG Passport Mustafa Jamal Qazi and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
Likewise, the minister also inaugurated three new passport offices in Lahore this month.
In a post to his official X account, the minister said, “Alhamdulillah, launched passport issuance services at three NADRA Mega Centers: Peco Road, Shimla Pahari, and Sanda Road, Lahore. Inspected the process, met citizens, and directed staff for swift service. These centers will operate in two shifts till 11 PM. However, Shimla Pahari counters will operate 24/7.”
After inaugurating the new passport office on Peco Road, Naqvi also reviewed the process of obtaining passports and met with the citizens who were applying for passports.
The citizens appreciated the minister for such an excellent initiative, saying that they received excellent facilities so far yet will obtain their passports with more ease and comfort onward.
