National Resistance Front strikes Taliban stronghold in Panjshir

WEB DESK: The National Resistance Front (NRF) carried out a targeted operation in Afghanistan’s Panjshir province, destroying a key Taliban base and killing 17 fighters, including the chief of staff of a battalion, officials confirmed.

The raid took place on the night of December 7, 2025, in the village of Manjsto, located in the Abdullah Khel area of the Dara district. The operation was executed in two phases: first, an explosive device was detonated, followed immediately by a rocket assault on the stronghold.

According to the NRF, the base served as a major post for the Taliban’s Special Brigade under the Ministry of Defense, where fighters had been harassing and terrorising the local population. The attack completely obliterated the Taliban base, dealing a significant blow to their presence in the area.

NRF officials reported no casualties on their side, while five Taliban fighters were severely injured during the assault.

The operation underscores the NRF’s continued resistance in Panjshir, aiming to challenge Taliban control and protect local communities from ongoing violence and intimidation.

The National Resistance Front shared details of the operation on their official Twitter account, highlighting its strategic success.
