NDMA to send relief goods to quake-hit Afghanistan


ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has taken proactive measures to deliver relief supplies to earthquake-stricken Afghanistan.

The relief package comprises essential items such as food, medicines, tents, and blankets, accompanied by dedicated search and rescue teams.

During a special session at the National Emergency Operations Centre in Islamabad, Chairman NDMA, Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik, shared this update.

The meeting focused on assessing the situation and devising a humanitarian assistance plan for Afghanistan in the aftermath of the destructive earthquake.

Chairman NDMA emphasized the urgency of swift relief aid for Kabul, urging its rapid delivery via air and land routes to Afghanistan.

He also appealed for seamless facilitation and coordination among all government departments and agencies involved in the relief efforts. INP
