WEB DESK: The Karachi pool rounds of Nido Hum Spelling Whizz, organised in collaboration between Nestlé Nido and Hum News, continued with great enthusiasm on the fourth day. The Arts Council of Karachi was abuzz with the colours of knowledge, effort and linguistic passion as students impressed both the judges and the audience with their pronunciation and spelling skills. The grand final of this exciting academic competition will be held on November 3 at Alhamra Hall, Lahore, featuring the best spellers from across the country.
The organisation of the fourth day’s contests was commendable. As in previous rounds, Oxford University Press’s Rukhsana Ahsan and Irfana Qadri served as judges, while Fareed Azhar took on the role of pronouncer. The final stage of the Karachi pool round featured a tight contest among students aged 15 to 18, with each school team performing admirably to secure a spot in the upcoming regional round.

Schools that triumphed on Day 4 included:
- Pool A: Alpha High School, Habib Girls’ School
- Pool B: DHACSS School, Future World School
- Pool C: Beaconhouse School, The Academy School
- Pool D: Delsol The School, H.B. Malik Public School
The educational competition is supported by OGDCL and Innovated Choco Rings, with Onderland as the entertainment partner, Avari Express as the hospitality partner, Humz Tech providing technical support, and Burger O’Clock as the meal partner.

The Nido Hum Spelling Whizz aims to promote linguistic learning, correct pronunciation, and intellectual confidence among the new generation. The platform gives students an opportunity to display their talents in a healthy competitive environment while fostering teamwork and collaboration.

The Karachi pool rounds ran from October 20 to 23, followed by the regional round on October 24. In Islamabad, the pool rounds will take place on October 28 and the regional round on October 29 at the NICL Building, while in Lahore, the pool rounds are scheduled for October 31 and the regional round for November 1 at Alhamra Hall.
