No extension in Punjab winter vacations, schools timings changed in Punjab

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced on Monday that there would be no extension of winter vacations across Punjab. However, he stated that school timings would be adjusted due to the extreme weather conditions.

Schools across Punjab will reopen on January 10, 2024, with revised timings.

“Due to the ongoing winter wave, schools will resume on 10th Jan, 2024. From 10th to 22nd Jan, schools will start at 9:30 am. It is highly advisable to wear jackets and warm clothes,” read a post by Mohsin Naqvi on social media platform ‘X’, preciously known as Twitter.

New winter school timings in Punjab

Due to the extreme weather conditions, new school timings in Punjab will be in effect from January 10 to January 22, starting at 9:30am.

An official notification regarding the change in timings in Punjab schools will be issued soon.
