ISLAMABAD: In the 3rd match of the Pakistan T20I Tri-Nation Series, Sri Lanka posted 128-7 in their 20 overs, with Janith Liyanage top-scoring for the Lions with a well-crafted 41 off 38 balls
Sri Lanka Batting Line
The Lions sent top order Pathum Nissanka and Kamil Mishara to open their side innings in the 3rd match of the T20I Tri-Nation Series in a shining way, following the Greens upper hand in the PAK VS SL series that the two teams earlier to this trio played in Pakistan. However, the SL post-innings situation at crease giving 94 per cent victory prediction to the Greens.
Sri Lanka, batting first, managed a total of 128-7 in their allotted 20 overs. Janith Liyanage was the top scorer for the Lankan side with a well-compiled 41 off 38 balls, while Kusal Perera contributed 25 runs. Kamil Mishara’s quickfire 22 off 12 balls and Pathum Nissanka’s 17 helped give Sri Lanka some momentum, but regular wickets at crucial times prevented them from posting a more challenging total.
For Pakistan, it’s all about chasing the target with steady batting and keeping the scoreboard ticking. With a target well within reach, fans are optimistic for another win to strengthen Pakistan’s standing in the Tri-Nation series. In the last tournament played for various formats between Pak and SL, the Greens had won both the T20I and ODI Series, albeit the White-ball game was finished in a 1-1 draw in Pakistan.

Zimbabwe defeat Sri Lanka by 67 runs
On Thursday, Zimbabwe defeated Sri Lanka by 67 runs in the second match of the T20 tri-nation series.
In the match played at Rawalpindi Stadium, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 95 runs while chasing a target of 163.

For Sri Lanka, Dasun Shanaka was the top scorer with 34 runs. Bhanuka Rajapaksa scored 11, Chamindu Mendis 9, Wanindu Hasaranga 8, Maheesh Theekshana 8, Kusal Mendis 6, Kusal Perera 4, Dushmantha Chameera 1, and Ishan Malinga 1, while Pathum Nissanka was dismissed without scoring.
