ISLAMABAD: In the span of five years, the Pakistan Citizens Portal has witnessed a substantial surge in registered users, soaring from 41.67 lakhs to 5.4 million.

According to media reports in the timeframe, the portal has recorded a total of 5,404,589 complaints, with 2,748,186 directed towards federal ministries and institutions.

Noteworthy trends in complaints include 263,169 from Overseas Pakistanis, 16,932 from foreigners, 1,719,137 against the Punjab government, 547,000 against KP, and 317,296 against the Sindh government. Students took the lead with 810,000 complaints, followed by businessmen at 656,411 and civil service officers/employees at 482,000.

Various professional groups have also actively engaged with the portal, with engineers filing 505,000 complaints, teachers at 684,000, social workers at 314,000, and women at 371,264. The complaint redressal rate on the Pakistan Citizens Portal stands at an impressive 98.67 per cent.

The report underscores that the majority of complaints were targeted at entities such as Sui Northern, Mapco, and BISP, while the Pakistani embassy in Saudi Arabia received the highest number of complaints.
