Pakistan conducts successful training launch of Fatah-II missile system

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Army Rocket Force Command on Tuesday conducted a successful training launch of the indigenously developed Fateh-II missile system, the military said.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the missile system is equipped with advanced avionics and state-of-the-art navigational aids.

The training launch was aimed at troop training, validation of technical parameters, and performance evaluation of various subsystems designed to improve accuracy and enhance survivability, it added.

The launch was witnessed by senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Rocket Force Command and Pakistan Army, along with scientists and engineers from strategic organisations.

The forum expressed satisfaction over the successful training fire of the Fateh series missile system, according to the statement.

President, prime minister, chief of defence forces and services chiefs also appreciated the technical expertise, dedication and commitment of all those involved in the development and successful training launch of the system.

The military said the successful trial reflected satisfaction with the performance of the Fatah series of missile systems.

Pakistan’s top military leadership appreciated the technical expertise and efforts of the scientists and engineers working on the programme, according to the statement.

The Fatah series is part of Pakistan’s efforts to enhance conventional strike capabilities through domestically developed missile systems.
